This is a weekly post about the applications we use ourselves or the ones we tried out

“We’re going to double down on secrecy on products. But in other things Apple will be the most transparent company. Supplier responsibility, environmental issues … In this area I want people to copy us.” – Cook
We all know the tension before the start of a new Apple event. All sorts of questions go through our heads. Prior to the event, you have a series of leaks (which won’t be posted here, “no spoilers” policy) and wishes.
“What products would we like to see in the future from Apple?”, is the question we will answer today.
A part of being a fan of Apple is the world around the products. Think about the keynote, the packaging, their website, the introduction videos and the ads.
Let’s talk about that part of Apple today: Apple videos. Continue Reading
A few YouTubers got a HomePod a few days earlier. Here’s what they think. I especially like the review from The Verge.
Apple makes fantastic products, but everything around it makes the whole experience even more immersive. You don’t just “use” Apple products, you live with them. There is a difference between having one Apple product and using the Apple ecosystem. Continue Reading
“We’re thrilled to report the biggest quarter in Apple’s history, with broad-based growth that included the highest revenue ever from a new iPhone lineup. iPhone X surpassed our expectations and has been our top-selling iPhone every week since it shipped in November,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We’ve also achieved a significant milestone with our […]
If you want to know more about the HomePod and how it compares to a few hot smart speakers, I really really recommend ready this article. More from this writer: SERENITY CALDWELL
Just yesterday, Apple finally gave us a date for it’s HomePod smart speaker. Releasing a lot of extra info that we didn’t get last summer when the HomePod was first introduced. Personally, I am really interested in the HomePod. I only have one smart speaker right now, a SONOS PlayBase. I only use it for music 1% of the time. And while it sounds great, I bought it for my TV, not to listen music with it. I would love a HomePod on my desk. Maybe one in my bathroom/bedroom as well. I’ll see what one can do first. Yesterday Apple and the Malala Fund announced that Apple would become the fund’s first Laureate partner, enabling a significant expansion of Malala’s effort to support girls’ education and advocate for equal opportunity. Which I think is AWESOME! I love it when Apple does these kinds of things. They always say we want to leave the world better than we found it. This only confirms this more. Continue Reading
I wanted to wish all of my readers a happy new year. May 2018 be filled with love and joy. But maybe most important, great Apple products! 😉
As most of you know, Apple released the iMac Pro last week. The most powerful Mac, ever. This iMac is great for most of the professional users out there. They get more than enough power and the best in class 5K Retina display. But for some pro’s, the lack of upgradability in this iMac Pro just doesn’t seem right. Although, they don’t have to worry! Apple has them covered. Just not right now… Continue Reading
This video… I mean really. This message/video is absolutely perfect. These video’s are why I love Apple more than any other company. Also really like the music, as well. I happen to listen to a lot of Soundtracks so I recognised it immediately. It’s a song from the movie Arrival called Kangaru by Johan Johannsson.
I really wanted to get familiar with the new iPhone before I started to write a review. By the time this will be posted it will probably be about a month. I was lucky enough to get my iPhone X the day of the launch. The only reason for that was because I got up extremely early pre order morning and was one of the first to order one. Getting my iPhone on launch day is actually something that I never had before, this was my very first time! Usually I got it 2-3 weeks after but now I was one of the first. What did I buy? I bought the iPhone X in Space Gray (Also really like the Silver but everyone has the silver… 😉) with 256GB’s of storage. My previous iPhone was a 128 model that had 29GB’s free so I couldn’t buy the 64GB model. So, a 256. Which costs, in Belgium: 1329 euro’s. (That is 1.538,37 US dollars 😳) Yes, that hurts. But, I was already prepared since the rumours of a high price had been floating around for about 1 month before the Keynote. I am going to break down this review in a few sections. First let’s talk about the thing you’ll notice first, the OLED, Super Retina Display. Continue Reading
I just wanted to share a little inside information. My Mac is currently getting some fixing. I own a MacBook Pro with Touch bar from 2016. I recently started to see some spots in my display. I’ve also had some graphic glitches for a while. Where my screen would turn completely red. When this happened, […]
Apple released the best and fastest Watch this year. The Watch Series 3. They’ve added a feature this year that they wanted to add since the beginning. Cellular. So now you can use your Watch all the time, even when your iPhone is not around. You can easily distinguish the Series 3 because, as you might have noticed, it has a red dot on the digital crown. But if you look closer you’ll also notice it is about 1,5mm thicker. Which is huge. A huge engineering accomplishment for building in all the cellular features and a faster processor, without actually making it a lot bigger. Apple started selling much more Watches since the Series 2 but the Series 3 has taken that number up even more. Continue Reading
Apple today released a statement that they would be delaying the HomePod to early 2018. So we will probably not see a HomePod until January. I was really planning on buying one in December as a gift for myself but I’ll have to scratch that idea now… Dang! This is what Apple had to say […]
Clips 2.0 was released yesterday! Go download it now and enjoy Selfie Scenes for immersive, 360-degree selfies on iPhone X. This release also includes New Artistic Effects, Redesigned UI and Star Wars Content! Take a look at some examples down below. Continue Reading
Apple has given out a lot of review iPhone’s to all the biggest reporters and YouTubers. I’ve been watching them all this afternoon. Thought you guys wanted to view some as well. Here are my favourites! Continue Reading
For everyone waiting on their iPhone X, here are some of the cool video’s Apple made about their latest and greatest Phone. The first one is the introduction from the Keynote, which hasn’t been uploaded by Apple to YouTube. Have fun!
Apple opened their newest flagship Store the 20th of October in Chicago. This is -to me- one of the most beautiful Apple Stores ever. Now, Apple stopped calling them Stores, they are now Town Squares. Angela Ahrendts, Apples SVP of Retail had this to say about Apple Retail Stores:
“We think of Apple retail [stores] as Apple’s largest products,” Angela Ahrendts, head of Apple’s retail operations, said Tuesday at an event unveiling the company’s newest technology. “It’s funny, we actually don’t call them stores anymore. We call them town squares because they’re gathering places where everyone is welcome.”
Here are some pictures of the launch. Continue Reading
Apple released a statement yesterday about the iPhone X pre-orders. Talking about all the new and latest features and where and when to order. They also said this: “Stores will have iPhone X available for walk-in customers, who are encouraged to arrive early.” Now, that’s very interesting…. With all the fuzz about the production of […]
Today I read somewhere that Apple might do another Event this year. A late October Event like they did last year when they introduced the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Now, why would Apple do this? To me it feels like there has to be more news about the HomePod and the iMac Pro. Will […]
Today I was browsing YouTube for cool video’s and I stumbled on this interview with Tim Cook at the University of Oxford. I would say it is not so much about Apple but really more about Mr. Cook. Something I enjoyed, and I thought maybe you guys would like it as well. Have a great […]
It was back in November 2016 that Apple announced a special product. One that no one really expected. A book. This new book covers products from 1998’s iMac to 2015’s Apple Pencil, and also documents the materials and techniques used by Apple’s design team over two decades of innovation. In this post, I just wanted to show you what it looks and feels like, since in Apple fashion, it is on the expensive side of things and most people will not want to spend this much on a book. It starts at $199 (US) in small (10.20” x 12.75”) and goes up to $299 (US) in large (13” x 16.25”) format . I bought myself the small one, and believe me, the small one is still pretty big and heavy 😉 Let’s dive right in! Continue Reading
